Digital transformation is changing the labour market in many respects: skills such as data analysis, programming and cybersecurity are increasingly in demand, automation and artificial intelligence are replacing routine tasks, the pandemic accelerated the introduction of remote working and digital platforms have produced the gig economy. Demand for lifelong learning and continuing education is rising as technology develops further. And entirely new professions are emerging, such as social media manager, digital marketing specialist, data scientist, cybersecurity specialist and data protection expert.

At the dialogue event, selected research teams will be presenting their findings on the transforming labour market. Individual aspects will be discussed with practitioners in subsequent breakout sessions. The event is aimed at representatives from administration, social partners, players in the employment service and other interested parties.

The dialogue event “Skills, job profiles and professions: How the labour market is being transformed” is being hosted by NRP 77 and presented by the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) as a partner.

The presentations, breakout sessions and discussions will be held in the national languages German and French. Attendance is free of charge. The number of places is limited. Register by 27 October 2024
