Whether through platforms or staffing agencies, there have never been so many opportunities to work flexibly. The Swiss National Science Foundation has commissioned two research projects to investigate the backgrounds and effects of the FlexWork phenomenon. This event will present the key findings from both projects and derive relevant implications for practice.
At the event, researchers from the SNF projects of the National Research Programme 77 "Digital Transformation" will bring together their expertise:
Caroline Straub from the New Work Institute at the University of Bern investigated with her team the labor phenomenon "Gig Work: Types, opportunities, and risks of a digitalised labour market phenomenon”.
Florian Liberatore from ZHAW conducted research on the question: “How can temporary work via online platforms be optimally designed?“.
Both will present their research outcomes on May 27th during a conference at the Bern University of Applied Sciences, followed by interactive workshops and a panel discussion. In exchange with actors from the practice, recommendations will be developed.
The event is aimed at players from the business sector, trade union representation, academia, and politics, and offers them an opportunity to discuss together, exchange experiences, and network.
The event will be held in german.
