The results of the 46 research projects in NRP 77 are available. The Steering Committee now has the task of organising the main findings and using them to derive conclusions and recommendations for policymakers.

Digital transformation is shaping all areas of life – and researchers are providing sound findings on the opportunities, risks and challenges involved. In National Research Programme NRP 77, researchers from a range of disciplines have examined the various aspects of digitalisation in 46 projects. The research phase has now officially come to an end, and all final reports have been submitted.

The Steering Group now has the task of consolidating the main findings from the individual projects and creating an overarching programme synthesis containing the conclusions and recommendations for policymakers. To this end, the members of the international group retreated to the Weissenstein mountain in mid-February and spent three days working intensively on the core messages of the synthesis report.

Tired but very happy, the President of the Steering Committee, Abraham Bernstein, commented on the three-day retreat as follows: “We have reached a very good point, and the outline of the synthesis is becoming clear. Now the real work begins.”

The final synthesis is expected to be published in April 2026.

The results of the individual projects will be published over the course of the year on this website and the NRP 77 social media accounts.
